Took a drive up to Savannah and Charleston last spring and stopped in the tiny town of Darien, Georgia on the way back to Florida. There was a shrimp fleet there, as well as a very interesting fort and some beautiful old buildings. This boat was named "Grave Digger". I did this painting to prove to myself that I can actually go outside my comfort zone of working from the figure.
